Bee U NYC programs are designed to support students in pursuing careers in the green economy. With this in mind, Bee U NYC created the Green Jobs Pipeline, a workforce development program focused on early-career workforce placements and mentorship, for alumni of our high school and college-aged programs.

The Pipeline connects our alumni to paid, real-world roles in environmental sustainability and the green sector. We match candidates with mission-aligned partners for workforce placements.

Participants receive on-the-job training, mentorship, and career coaching, building the skills and networks during their early career that lead to long-term job opportunities. Interested employers and Bee U NYC alumni can apply to be matched for upcoming cohorts.

Who is Eligible?

  • High School Career Technical Education Program

Bee U NYC is proud to partner with the Harbor School and Earth Matter NYC to bring urban beekeeping education to the next generation of environmental leaders. Through this collaboration, Harbor School students enrolled in the Earth Matter Career and Technical Education (CTE) program gain hands-on experience in urban beekeeping, a vital skill set for fostering ecological sustainability in urban environments.

Harbor School alumni who complete the program are eligible to apply for Bee U NYC's Green Jobs Pipeline.

  • Urban Beekeeping Fellowship

The Urban Beekeeping Fellowship is Bee U NYC's flagship program, designed to empower underrepresented groups in the green economy, including women, LGBTQ+, and Black and Brown youth. This immersive, hands-on program offers Fellows a unique opportunity to gain practical beekeeping skills while exploring contemporary environmental issues and the history of the environmental justice movement.

Urban Beekeeping Fellowship alumni who complete the program are eligible to apply for Bee U NYC’s Green Jobs Pipeline.
